Harris Tweed Tour of Lewis and Harris -  September 2017

Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful introduction to Lewis.  We loved every minute!!  The history, the landscape, the ruins all came to life under your capable guidance. But most of all, thank you for unveiling all the glories of harris tweed and the weavers during our 2-day visit.  I returned home super excited about what we'd seen.  The tours of the 2 mills were especially wonderful and have left a lasting impression.  Thank you for going out of your way to make those happen. Then you went out of your way again and wrangled a packet of information out of the harris tweed authority to give me!!  That was just "the icing on the cake".  Thank you so very, very much!!  I felt rich when you came to our hotel and put the packet into my hand that last evening.

Ancestral Tour of Lewis  - June 2015

This tour was beyond my expectations. You made it so special and thanks to all your hard work and research I was able to visit my mothers birthplace, see where my grandparents went to school, got married and meet my second cousin and two first cousins who I had never met.  Not only did I bring back memories, photos but also a  CD of gaelic  songs made by my second cousin which I gave to my 92 year old mother in Canada who left the island when she was 1 and became an international gaelic singer! A million thanks.

Tour of Isle of Lewis - June 2024

​Working with Elizabeth McKenzie to create the perfect day on the Isle of Lewis was delightful from the very first email. Elizabeth helped us secure a rental car, met us at the international cruise terminal drop-off location in Stornoway, and walked us to the car hire! Our amazing day was orchestrated to avoid the large crowds at a relaxed and enjoyable pace. We started at the Butt of Lewis, then visited the St. Molaug Church, before heading to the Gearranan Blackhouse for lunch and a tour. Next we stopped at the Doune Carloway Broch before going to the Callanish Standing Stones. Elizabeth’s knowledge of the local history, geography, culture, and customs provided our group with a rich and deep understanding of this beautiful part of Scotland.
